A Tale of Tragedy and Triumph
So there I sat, inspired by the sight of an ASCII cow I had decided to throw caution to the winds and partition my hard drive. As it hummed and whirred away, I sat in silence waiting for a message of failure or destruction, and yet none came. In scarcely one half of an hour my hard drive was partitioned and I was well on my way to a Linux world. I ran the installation paying careful attention to each selection, each warning lest a small error on my part spell doom for the contents of my digital domain. All the selections were made, all the buttons were pushed, I was beyond the point of no return. The thin orange bar made it's way slowly but surely to the right. As it came further and further I was heartened by the lack of any message of deletion or removal. In the last stretch a small series of packages were deleted, but surely nothing important. The bar reached its culmination, the screen darkened and window appeared with the message that the machine must restart. I agreed to this common request and with a whirring goodbye the Ubuntu disk came out of my computer for the last time. I switched to more magic and once again the flicker of my screen appeared but this time a question was asked: Do you want to run Ubuntu or Windows Vista? Well I was fairly confident that Ubuntu was there but there was always the possibility that something had gone wrong with windows so with a few taps of my keyboard I opened Vista. But no Vista was no more. It had died a horrible death. Windows.exe could not be found. With my shoulders slumped and my head hung low I trudged upstairs to deliver the awful news to my father. At first he appeared incredulous as if he did not believe me but then after staring at my heartbroken face he realized that this was no joke this was no pun this was the sad and balefull truth. His first reaction was to blame Ubuntu, that it had some how lied about it's duel booting ability, but then a spark of life returned to his eyes for he knew the location of the Windows Installation disk. A flicker of hope returned to my soul and I inserted the disk into the black encasing of our tower. Soon I was pressing any button to run from DVD and the familiar windows logo was seen hoverning in th center of the screen. Aftrer several false starts I believed that I had finnaly goten it and restarted the computer for the ninth time that night. At first nothing appeared, a black screen hung there like a curtain for much longer than normal and I could feel the previous rush of exileration seeping away into a pit of despair. And then when all hope seemed lost the familiar Windows tune rang forth from my apeakers. New hope blosomed indside me and it was rewarded beyond all expectations. Not only had windows been sucsesfully reinstalled but it seemed that nothing had been lost. No program was missing no file misplaced. Twas truely a miricle. And at that point my thoughts returned to Linux. Had my new Ubuntu survived the reinstallation of Windows? Could I have possibly sucseeded? With the tenth restart of the night I found out. Their was Ubuntu, untouched and untarnished. I had sucseeded. Everything was as planned and now I have been awake for 22 hours. Time for some sleep.

Hmmm
I think I've reached the point that I need to stop apologizing for posting slowly. I apparently have a fairly boring life with no that much interesting information. From this point forward I will not apologize for posting infrequently because it is just wasting space at the begging off the post. Enough about that.
I have about four weeks of school left in eleventh grade. It is rather intimidating that I am almost done with school. I don't really know what I am going to do after I graduate and thus the worry. In any event I doubt that you care. I'm not entirely sure why I even have a blog because all I seem to post about is my life, which is boring, random words, which you can look up in a dictionary, and links to random web pages, which you can find much more comprehensive lists off elsewhere. And yet I shall continue posting. I suppose it is that I'm conceited and think that other people would be better off if they knew abut me. Or maybe I rust need to write something down. Or maybe I'm just typing all this for no reason at all. Well That Really Told You Nothing. So now I shall return to going about my business on the internet. Goodbye.

Pi
I just looked back through my blog, and noticed I never informed you that I had successfully memorized pi to 100 places. I finally succeeded about one month or so Ago. So just for the heck of it I'm going to list them:
3.14159265358979323846264338
32795028841971693993751058209749
44592307816406286208998628034
8253421170679
That is 100 digits of pi. I really should memories some more but I'm lazy. I'll inform you if I return to memorization.

Tennis
Hi. I am on my high school Tennis team, and I wanted to talk about my first matches that I played last weekend. I just started Tennis this year and I am not very good. I play with my left hand even though I am right handed, and I have a really hard time serving. Anyway, I played three matches last Saturday. I lost the first 0-6, 0-6. Then I lost the next 1-6, 2-6. Ti lost the third 0-6, 1-6. Keep in mind that these are my first matches ever and that I was playing Varsity even though I am on JV. I am playing another match or two tomorrow. These will also be Varsity and I hope I do better than last time. If anyone has any advice on Tennis please post. ---Goodbye

Trip to Japan
Once again I went a very long time without posting. I am sorry. This last week I went to Japan to visit some friends of my parents and also for fun. I had a really great time. I was able to see a Kabuki Play and I went to an Onsen. An onsen is a public bath house where no one wheres any clothes. I also bought some cool stuff and met a lot of nice people. I bought a Gundam model while I was there and had so much fun building it that I bought and built another one. I bought some Japanese Yu-gi-oh cards that hadn't come out in America and gennerally had a great time. I don't know the Japanse language very well, but the trip really inspired me to learn. If anyone has any helpful hints on methods of products that might help me a ccomplish this, please post. If I think of anything else I'll post it. Goodbye.

Stuff and Things
I am sorry for failing to update in a while. There has not been very much noteworthy going on lately. I had a birthday a little while ago and got some cool things for it. I got a pair of Kendo swords and have been practicing with them. My arm strength has improved but I don't know about my technique because I have none to train me. I am trying to find a book or something about Kendo so I will at least have some basis for my training. I also got Final Fantasy Chronicles which is two older games: Final Fantasy IV and Chrono Trigger. I have not started Chrono Triger yet but I'm about a third of the way through Final Fantasy IV. They are both very old games so the graphics arn't so hot, but the storyline for Final Fantasy is great. In additon to those two gifts I got a borders gift card, a Forgotten Relams history book and a movie called The Pyromaniac's Love Story. It is a pretty good movie and the book is interesting too. Recently I have downloaded an Image editing program called GIMP. It is very powerful and some of the functions are amazing, but It is not very intuitive. I have found myself using GIMP for it's brushes and then finishing up the editing with another program I have called Paint.net. Both of the programs are very good and I may end up putting some of the pictures I've made on this site. Both of them are completely free and here are the links to the websites to download them. Enjoy.
